Get Immediate Results?

Why Do Some People Get Immediate Results and Some Get None?
Or How Long Will It Be Before I Get Results?

 The 5 Stages of Disease
The key to unlock this riddle is that illness is really a process that goes through several stages before it appears as a diagnosable condition. This alternative health concept is quite different than the medical model that disease can appear suddenly where there was only health before. Likewise, in the treatment for disease, alternative health differs from the medical concept of healing.
Alternative health sees the first few stages of disease as normal body processes to combat the toxic influences on the body. A cold develops more rapidly cleanses the body with a runny nose and fever. From an alternative health point of view, it should be allowed to run its course. The body is handling the cause of future ill health by rapidly (if unpleasantly) detoxifying. Medicine sees the same cold symptoms and prescribes something to stop the symptoms (the sneezing, runny nose and fever) and therefore suppresses the healing response and doesn’t address the actual cause of the cold.

You might look at the “cold/flu season” that follows the “holiday season” as a response to the ritual overeating of meat and rich, sweet, and alcoholic foods as your immune system attempting to clean out the body. If this detoxification is prevented, future problems are allowed to grow. In Naturopathy we see the body responds to stress and how the body becomes ill evolves in stages:
Elimination — When the body is first presented with toxic substances that impede the body’s normal function, the body attempts to eliminate them. Such substances could be from normal digestion such as uric acid from digesting meat; a bacterial infection such as strep throat; a bee sting or even pesticides. These would be neutralized by the liver and then eliminated through pooping, peeing, coughing, sweating or exhaling.
Irritation — When the body is overwhelmed by toxins and the normal elimination channels are not sufficient to expel all the toxins as they come in, the body throws additional means of elimination into gear. Such means might include skin rashes, bad breath, diarrhea, etc.
Inflammation— When even the additional means of elimination are overwhelmed and insufficient to handle the toxic load, the body tries to localize the toxins and the resulting location becomes inflamed: red, swollen, hot and painful. Calling it tonsillitis just says the toxins “have taken up residence” in the tonsils; tendonitis says they’ve accumulated in the tendons (the tough white bands at the end of muscles that anchor them to the bones). Fever, from an alternative health point of view, is very favorable as the high temperature kills viruses and bacteria if it is not prevented. A cold is the body’s way of eliminating toxins on a faster, broader scale.
All the above stages are usually quickly resolved and health restored if we catch the problem early and apply remedies to help the body heal itself. However, if they are ignored and the toxic load continues to overwhelm the body, the disease that is now obvious becomes much more difficult to resolve.
Chronic disease — If the body is not allowed and assisted in eliminating the toxins, the body attempts to quarantine the toxins by sacrificing a particular organ or system to prevent death. Here, after all three of the preceding stages, we find growths and chronic disease such as ulcers, irritable bowel, chronic fatigue syndrome, etc.
Organ failure, cancer — Unable to reverse the chronic disease(s), the body begins to die.
Differences in Speed of Result Explained
Over the past year’s I have seen that about a third of the people taking a herbal program feel results within hours or a few days and another third see results in from one week to one month because they are in the Inflammation stage (sometimes without knowing it). The rest of our clients can take up to 3 months to experience results because they are in the chronic disease stages of greater deficiency and require either additional supplementation or more detoxification. These people may experience detox symptoms as their body heals itself. These detox symptoms might be echoes of previous stages of their disease. Although unpleasant, these are signs that the body is detoxifying.

What of the small fraction that get no results over time that are not mentioned? We have observed that these people have something blocking the healing response and it is frequently heavy metal toxins (like mercury, arsenic or lead) or in even a lesser case a heavy load of parasites that are putting such a strain on the body that they need to be handled before the body can heal more fully.
For example two patients with the same condition: One who had been detoxifying and taking good nutrition got results within hours. The other didn’t respond for a few weeks, but then got results.
How Does This Apply to You?
First you should understand the points made above:
1. Disease is a process that goes through several stages before it appears as a disease.
2. This alternative health concept is quite different than the medical concept that disease can appear suddenly where there was only health before.
3. Alternative health sees the first few stages of disease as normal body processes to combat the toxic influences on the body.
4. They should be allowed to run their course because the body is handling the cause of future ill health by rapidly (if unpleasantly) detoxifying.
5. Medicine sees symptoms and prescribes something to stop the symptoms (the sneezing, runny nose and fever). Therefore it doesn’t address the actual cause of the cold.
6. Disease that is in a later stage takes longer for the body to heal itself.

You have to decide whether it makes sense to commit as much as 3 months to possibly improve your health dramatically.
We hope this helps you to better understand why some take longer to get results. So, you can make the best decision for your health.
